Business Clearance is a certification that granted to operate business within the territorial jurisdiction of a barangay, pursuant to the provision of Section 152, Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991.

Business Clearance format depends on each barangay, and should include Barangay Captain printed name and signatures. Make sure your business clearance is sealed before handed it to you.

Barangay Clearance or Certificate of Residency is a Philippine government issued identification documents needed for business, job, or personal transactions. The important reasons for requiring this documents are as follows:

  1. It is required when you apply a job/employment.
  2. Required when you apply or open a bank account.
  3. Required for business establishment..
  4. Required for other businesses or financial institutions such as lending, loan or financing.
  5. It certify that you are living or residing in a certain barangay.
